Peconic Bay Medical Center’s $60M expansion receives final approval

Riverhead, N.Y.-based Peconic Bay Medical Center’s three-story, $60 million proposed expansion received unanimous approval from the Riverhead Town Board Tuesday, according to the Riverhead News-Review.

The added space will become an emergency room, cardiac catheterization/electrophisology suite and a new intensive care unit, according to the report. It will be connected to the existing hospital building by two connecting bridges, elevators and stairs.

There will also be a new rooftop heliport, according to the report.
