Northwestern Medicine Kishwaukee Hospital plans $46M wellness center

DeKalb, Ill.-based Northwestern Medicine Kishwaukee Hospital is seeking state approval to build a $46 million health and fitness center in the next two years, WNIJ reports.

The hospital’s application proposes a more than 100,000-square-foot wellness center to expand access to preventative healthcare in DeKalb County. Facility construction could begin in April and reach completion in March 2019, pending regulatory approval.

The Illinois Health Facilities and Services Review Board is set to review the application March 14.
