Lehigh Valley Children’s Hospital opens cancer center

Allentown, Pa.-based Lehigh Valley Children’s Hospital unveiled its final addition to the Children’s Specialty Center focused on pediatric cancer, according to LehighValleyLive.com.

The final addition is the Children’s Cancer and Multipurpose Infusion Center that includes a surgery floor and a specialty floor just for pediatric care.

The cancer center will begin taking patients July 24.

“This is a win for patients and doctors as it will consolidate patient care,” said Nathan Hagstrom, MD, chair of the department of pediatrics at LVCH.
