The hospital opened a temporary tent hospital Sept. 26, but it will have to be moved to allow Fishermen’s Community Hospital to be rebuilt. Hospital CEO Rick Freeburg said at a recent Greater Marathon Chamber of Commerce luncheon that the rebuilding process could take two years, according to the report.
The temporary tent hospital offers X-ray imaging and care for strokes and heart attacks, but patients with more serious conditions are taken to other local hospitals.
