Boca Raton Regional Hospital plans $260M expansion

Boca Raton (Fla.) Regional Hospital plans to enhance its flagship facility in a $260 million expansion and renovation project, reports The Sun Sentinel.

The 278,000-square-foot addition will feature a seven-story patient tower, expanded surgical suites, a larger surgical intensive care unit, a new cardiovascular ICU and private patient rooms. It will be added to the main hospital, turning the building into an L-shaped facility.

The expansion project will more than double the size of its current facility, according to the Boca Newspaper,

Boca Raton plans to use philanthropy, financing and cost cutting measures to pay for the expansion. So far, the hospital has raised $35 million to support the expansion project.
