Avera Specialty Hospital to open Oct. 29

Avera Specialty Hospital in Sioux Falls, S.D., will open to patients Oct. 29, according to the Argus Leader.

The five-story, 260,000-square-foot facility will house offices for the Avera Medical Group and provide a range of surgical treatments to patients. It will have 24 inpatient rooms and the space to add 24 more. 

The facility will offer orthopedics and gastroenterology specialty services.

Construction of the facility began in fall 2017. It is located down the street from Avera Behavioral Health and Avera Heart Hospital.
