HCA buys 55-acre plot in Florida

Nashville, Tenn.-basd HCA Healthcare has purchased more than 55 acres of land in Nassau County, Fla., for $15.8 million, according to the Jacksonville Daily Record.

The land was bought for Jacksonville, Fla.-based Memorial Hospital, a subsidiary of HCA. 

"It will allow us to establish a future presence in Nassau County and to align with the planned growth in the region," Bradley Talbert, CEO of Memorial Hospital, told the Daily Record. 

HCA and Memorial didn't say what will be built on the site.
