6 hospitals planning facility upgrades, expansions

The following hospitals announced or completed plans in the last week to expand, upgrade or renovate their facilities.

1. NewYork-Presbyterian unveils $1.1B ambulatory care center
New York City-based NewYork-Presbyterian completed construction on its David H. Koch Center, a $1.1 billion ambulatory care facility in Manhattan that will soon become home to a women and children's hospital. 

2. Ochsner Health System, Acadia Healthcare open 82-bed psychiatric hospital
New Orleans-based Ochsner Health System, in partnership with Franklin, Tenn.-based Acadia Healthcare, opened its 82-bed inpatient behavioral health facility in La Place, La., April 24. 

3. Medical City Plano breaks ground on 90-bed patient tower
Medical City Plano (Texas), a full service 513-bed facility, broke ground on its new 90-bed patient tower April 25.

4. MultiCare opens 58-bed patient tower in Washington
MultiCare Covington (Wash.) Medical Center opened a 58-bed inpatient tower on its campus April 24.

5. Adventist's Florida Hospital releases details of $600M network revamp: 8 notes
Orlando-based Florida Hospital, part of Altamonte Springs, Fla.-based Adventist Health System, plans to invest $600 million in acquisitions and renovations over the next three years.
