Allscripts closed its acquisition of McKesson’s Enterprise Information Solutions business Oct. 2. Under the agreement, Allscripts confirmed it would offer McKesson’s Paragon EHR as an integrated EHR and revenue cycle management solution for the small hospital market segment. The company said it would continue to promote the Allscripts Sunrise EHR as its primary platform for larger institutions.

“We’re honored to continue serving the multiple Paragon clients that have recently extended their commitment to these great solutions,” said Allscripts CEO Paul M. Black. “We are proud to be a trusted, premier health IT solutions provider to all former McKesson clients, including our new Paragon clients.”
