- Google is developing an updated version of its medical large language model to answer health questions more accurately. The new model, dubbed Med-PaLM 2, has an 85 percent accuracy when it comes to answering medical questions, an 18 percent increase since its first version, Med-PaLM was released in 2022.
- Google Health is launching a suite of open source tools to help developers build digital health apps. The suite, dubbed Open Health Stack, will provide developers with the “building blocks” for creating digital health applications.
- Google Health announced its search function will soon be able to identify community health centers and provide consumers with information on which facilities have free or low-cost care options. Google said the facilities will be denoted by a label that reads, “offers free or low-cost care based on individual circumstances,” on its search page.
