Twistle hires 2 physicians as medical directors

Digital health company Twistle appointed two new medical directors to further strengthen its medical and surgical expertise.

Rameet Singh, MD, and John Janas III, MD, both joined Twistle as medical directors to help accelerate the company's development of additional communication pathway content to meet client needs, the company announced Sept. 30.

"Health systems are increasingly looking for a partner that fosters patient engagement across multiple specialties and procedures, eliminating point solutions where possible," said Twistle CEO Kulmeet Singh. "We look forward to Drs. Singh and Janas' leadership in the areas of women's, cardiovascular and population health in particular."

Dr. Singh is an OB/GYN who earned a medical degree from the University of Utah School of Medicine in Salt Lake City and a masters of public health from Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health in Baltimore. Prior to joining Twistle, Dr. Singh was an academic physician at Johns Hopkins University and the University of New Mexico. She also has experience as the chief of the family planning division at UNM.

Dr. Singh also has a background in social determinants of health and was the founding medical director of the Reproductive Health ECHO clinic, a partnership between ECHO, UNM and the department of health to spread information about reproductive health.

Dr. Janas has a 30-year career in clinical practice as a board-certified internal medicine and pediatrics physician. He is also well versed in IT and EHR implementation, and in 2000 founded Clinical Content Consultants, a company that helps healthcare professionals use EHR. His medical practice focused on chronic care management, clinical quality improvement and clinical decision support.
