Anthem extends partnership with AI startup to increase digital health offerings

Anthem is extending its partnership with artificial intelligence platform to help the Indianapolis-based payer grow its digital health offerings, according to a Sept. 29 news release.

Anthem and began collaborating in 2018; since then, Anthem has licensed the company's COVID-19 evaluation tool to help support safe entries back to the workplace as well as a mental health chatbot companion that helps users manage anxiety and depression.

Anthem uses's cloud infrastructure to launch its digital health products. Rajeev Ronanki, senior vice president and chief digital officer at Anthem, said the health insurer will work with over the next five years to continue releasing technologies that create a simpler healthcare experience for consumers.
