Gainesville, Fla.-based UF Health will continue providing medical care to Team USA athletes through the 2026 Milano-Cortina Winter Olympics and the 2028 Los Angeles Olympic and Paralympic Games under an extended agreement with the U.S. Olympic & Paralympic Committee.

UF Health has treated more than 70 Olympic and Paralympic athletes since joining the U.S. Olympic & Paralympic Medical Network in 2023, according to an Aug. 28 news release from the university. The health system is one of only four national medical centers selected to offer specialized care to Team USA competitors and will continue providing advanced diagnostics, specialty surgeries and rehabilitation services under the renewed agreement.

Clinicians from more than 17 departments across the health system’s Gainesville and Jacksonville campuses have treated athletes from 18 sports. The system also participates in professional education and research efforts alongside other Team USA providers.
