Carle Health enters into multimillion-dollar data analytics partnership: 3 details

Urbana, Ill.-based Carle Health joined Health Catalyst in a multiyear strategic partnership aimed at improving data and analytic solutions at the health system.

Three details:

1. Carle Health entered into a five-year, multimillion-dollar partnership with Health Catalyst, which will provide data and analytics technology to measure the cost and quality of care. It will also provide a comparative analytics platform that can help the health system examine outcomes and cost trends.

2. Under the agreement, Carle Health will be able to use the open Data Operating Systems platform from Health Catalyst as well as its suite of COVID-19 software such as a registry, staff and patient tracker, and capacity planning tool.

3. The partnership will further Carle’s efforts to connect the more than 50 disparate data sources the system uses into a single analytics platform. Carle Health includes a 1,000-physician group as well as the Carle Foundation Hospital, Carle Hoopeston Regional Health Center and Carle Richland Memorial Hospital. The system’s Health Alliance health plan serves beneficiaries across Illinois, Iowa, Ohio and Washington.
