Researchers surveyed healthcare executives who were responsible for secure third-party content communications. Here’s what they found:

  • About 47 percent of healthcare respondents said that 100 percent of their sensitive content email communications with third parties were encrypted.
  • Thirty-seven percent of respondents said that they had implemented controls to measure third-party risk.
  • Sixty-percent said that their organization’s third-party risk management and compliance strategies needed improvement.

As the threat landscape evolves, organizations should prioritize third-party risk management and implement holistic security controls to protect all endpoints, according to the survey.
