Stanford’s plans are said to be in reaction to the planned merger of nearby Palo Alto Medical Foundation with Mills-Peninsula Medical Group, which uses the medical foundation model that Stanford is now creating.
Stanford is also reportedly interested in a deal with Santa Clara County IPA, a contracting organization that represents nearly 900 physicians.
