According to a hospital announcement, approximately 2,500 attendees were present at the Summer Fest to receive health education and free screenings. Attendees also partook in activities, including face painting and a car show.
“This year’s event was our most successful to date and we view that as an indicator of our strong outreach into the neighborhoods we serve,” said Saint Anthony President and CEO Guy Medaglia. “Our community has a choice in healthcare and we’re pleased that our neighbors trust Saint Anthony Hospital for their medical services.”
Saint Anthony Hospital, which was founded in 1897, is a faith-based, non-profit teaching hospital with more than 350 primary care and specialty physicians on staff. The hospital is affiliated with Cook County Bureau of Health Services, Rosalind Franklin Medical School, Resurrection/St. Joseph Hospital, Rush Presbyterian, St. Luke’s Medical Center and Jackson Park Hospital.
