Martha Jefferson Hospital to Open Outpatient Center, Freestanding ER

Martha Jefferson Hospital, which recently moved into a new, $295 million facility in Charlottesville, Va., will open an outpatient center with a free standing emergency room on Sept. 19.

Martha Jefferson Hospital Outpatient Care Center will be located on Proffit Road in Charlottesville and will accept ambulances and walk-in patients.

The facility will also include medical imaging and laboratory services and house a family medicine practice.
