HCA Wins Local Approval for Long-Sought 164-Bed Hospital in Virginia

HCA’s long-sought proposal to build a new $195 million, 164-bed hospital in Loudoun County, Va., has been approved by the Loudoun County Board of Supervisors, according to a report by the Washington Business Journal.

The hospital has been eight years in planning, partly due to opposition from Inova Health System. A year ago, the county board denied a proposed HCA hospital at another site.

The StoneSpring Medical Center could open by late 2015.
