Dr. Shekerdemian has served as interim chair at Baylor since April and is also pediatrician-in-chief at Texas Children’s Hospital in Houston.
She is working closely with her medical cohorts to develop dedicated subspecialties in the children’s ICU. In her new role, she is also making faculty development and retention one of her top goals, according to the Chronicle.
