University of Miami in Florida Plans $112M Research Park

The University of Miami in Florida is planning to build a $112 million research park that would include clinical space and a hotel, according to a Miami Herald report.

Plans for the University of Miami Life Science and Technology Park call for an 18-story hotel and 90,000 square feet of clinical space. The research park is designed to position the university as a hotspot for medical tourism, according to the report. University leaders also hope to attract conferences to the research park.

University of Miami’s construction plans are subject to county approval.
