Cedar Hill Regional Medical Center, a $434 million hospital in Washington, D.C., opened on April 15.
The opening date for the 136-bed facility was set in February. It will be run by King of Prussia, Pa.-based Universal Health Services through a 75-year deal with the district.
The 406,000-square-foot facility comprises general hospital services, maternal health and delivery, adult and children’s emergency departments, a level 2 neonatal intensive care unit, trauma care, a helipad and a parking garage, according to an April 15 UHS LinkedIn post.
Cedar Hill Regional is the district’s first new hospital to be built in 25 years, the post said.
