Lindale, Texas-based Christus Emergency Care Center is now open, Tyler Morning Telegraph reported Oct. 10.
At 13,000 square feet, the facility is now the largest free-standing emergency room in the region. Construction totaled $7 million and began in 2020.
The facility will include 16 exam rooms, two trauma rooms, four intake rooms, an imaging center and a laboratory. It will also offer ambulatory services and is seeking landing zone approval for patients who need to be airlifted.
Staff will include board-certified physicians and nurses in emergency medicine, cardiology, orthopedic, sleep, podiatry and oncology care. The center will offer 30 new positions, according to the publication.
It is adjacent to Christus Trinity Mother Frances Health Park.
