Stanford Health Care President and CEO David Entwistle will accompany the first patient across the enclosed sky bridge from the old hospital to the new 824,000-square-foot facility at 9 a.m. on Nov. 17. All patients are expected to be transferred to the new hospital by that afternoon, according to the report.
To prepare for the move, more than 4,000 physicians, nurses, staff and volunteers underwent training to familiarize themselves with the new facility.
