Sarasota Memorial breaks ground on $75M research center

Sarasota (Fla.) Memorial Hospital is to open a new clinical research and education facility next to its flagship hospital in 2025, the health system said July 17.

The system, which also runs a second hospital in Venice, Fla., will use the new facility to support clinical trials and research studies as well as offer a range of education programs and training opportunities for physicians, nurses and students.

Sarasota Memorial works with Florida State University as its academic partner, according to a news release.
