The 50,000 square-foot facility will replace the 30-bed rehabilitation unit in the Boise-based Saint Alphonsus Regional Medical Center. It will be located just south of the medical center.

“Although we currently have an excellent inpatient rehabilitation program inside the hospital, we are limited on additional space for our growing community,” said Saint Alphonsus Regional Medical Center President Odette Bolano, according to the Idaho Press-Tribune.

Construction for the facility is expected to begin in the spring.
