The project, which still needs approval from the Michigan Department of Community Health, calls for a three-story, 99,000-square-foot inpatient tower and a renovation of the entire facility. The tower would house private rooms for patients.
If approved by the state DCH, construction on the inpatient tower would begin in spring 2019. Once the tower is complete, the rest of the hospital will be renovated.
