Secaucus, N.J.-based Hudson Regional Health has revealed its $75 million to $100 million plan for its four rebranded hospitals, which are going through service, technology and infrastructure upgrades.
The four-hospital system was created in late May as the last part of Bayonne, N.J.-based CarePoint Health System’s bankruptcy exit.
Under the new plan, Bayonne (N.J.) Medical Center will become Bayonne University Hospital, Christ Hospital will become The Heights University Hospital in Jersey City (N.J.), Hoboken (N.J.) University Medical Center will become Hoboken University Hospital and Hudson Regional Hospital will become Secaucus University Hospital, according to a Sept. 15 news release shared with Becker’s.
Hudson Regional has also already reopened several service lines at the hospitals, including the cardiac catheterization lab and sleep center at The Heights University, the infusion center and robotic surgery at Hoboken University, radiation oncology at Bayonne University and the system’s mobile health clinic to address community health needs.
Systemwide, the health system is investing in fire systems, HVAC and radiology equipment repairs. Some of the hospitals are also receiving new equipment, technologies, programs, updated emergency and labor and delivery rooms.
“Hudson Regional Health is also expanding its role as a regional leader in academic healthcare. Hoboken and Jersey City hospitals are already university-affiliated teaching hospitals, and Secaucus and Bayonne are on track to earn the same designation, ensuring best-in-class education and mentorship by top-tier medical professionals,” the release said.
