The hospital will spend $70 million to expand its south tower, $20 million to renovate its north tower, $17.5 million on a new parking garage and about $3 million to upgrade its emergency department.
The south tower expansion includes a three-story expansion that will house 100 beds, an orthopedic floor as well as a postpartum and prebirthing unit. North tower renovations will include new patient room equipment and updated flooring. The parking garage will be five stories with 895 spaces.
“We’re extremely excited to expand our services in North Florida and beyond,” North Florida Regional Medical Center CEO Eric Lawson told the Sun.
