“This is a translational research building, which means that our world-class physicians and researchers can go directly from the lab bench to the clinic and bedside, working together on discoveries and innovations that translate to new treatments for patients,” said Betsy Nabel, MD, president of Boston-based Brigham and Women’s Health Care.
The 383,000-square-foot facility will house research labs, clinics, an infusion suite, an imaging floor, a conference center and faculty offices. It will also hold the Brigham Innovation Hub, which promotes collaboration among experts to further develop partnerships within BWH and the industry.
