Alabama hospital approved for new facility

Birmingham, Ala.-based Cooper Green Mercy Health Services Authority has been approved by the University of Alabama to rebuild its facility, Construction Equipment Guide reported Oct. 4.

The new building will be five stories and 207,000 square feet. Construction is estimated to cost $120 million and slated to begin winter 2022. 

The facility will include new modern equipment and an expanded rehabilitation suite as well as a separate phlebotomy and injection clinic.
