Akron Children’s Hospital completes $84M expansion

Akron (Ohio) Children’s Hospital completed an $84 million expansion of its professional building, which will bring most of the hospital’s outpatient clinics together in one location, according to Cleveland.com.

The expansion nearly doubled the size of the building. It now spans 480,000 square feet and reaches seven stories.

The professional building will house outpatient laboratory services, dermatology, rheumatology, gastroenterology, adolescent medicine and pharmacy services.

The building also has a large welcome center for patient families and self check-in kiosks.
