Among the honorees of the “Women Leaders in AI” list was Sara Hines, director of provider experience and connectivity at Humana. Ms. Hines led development of a virtual agent to answer questions from the hospitals and other medical practices calling into Humana, using outcome data to continually update and improve the system.
Rachel Cordrey, pharmacy supervisor at the Salisbury, Md.-based Peninsula Regional Medical Center, also made the list due to her dedication to deploying AI solutions in healthcare. She supervised the implementation of AI-powered drug information database Micromedex into the hospital’s electronic health record system to answer nurse and pharmacist questions about medications, dosage and interactions.
