In early August, CHS unveiled plans to spin off its consulting arm, Quorum Health Resources, and 38 of its hospitals across 16 states into a company that will operate independently of CHS and have its own board and management team. CHS said the spin-off will allow the company to focus primarily on larger markets and on investing in its regional healthcare networks.
The company’s office park is under development in Brentwood, and The Tennessean notes that CHS wanted to keep the headquarters nearby. Creation of QHC is expected to be complete in the first quarter of 2016. A move-in date has not been determine, according to the report.
