Retain top talent at your organization

Recruitment is a grueling process for many organizations. However, one way to recruit great talent is to have current employees brag about their great experiences.

But, how can employees be encouraged to brag?

According to a recent Select International blog post – invest in your employees. Greg Kedenburg, a consultant at Select International, offers a few tips to shift employee experiences and company culture.

1. Think like Google
Kedenburg comments on how much Google is looked to as an innovator in the office culture: free food, open office spaces, pet-friendly, etc.
While Kedenburg realizes that not every organization can make this plausible, the message great office perks send is profound to current and future employees.

2. Prioritize employees

It is important to let employees know they are appreciated and are more than just worker bees. Kedenburg says this can be done by providing above and beyond benefits, growth opportunities, or consistent feedback.

Kedenberg notes that that it is important to focus on the quality of employees, not the quantity. A few high-performers are better than masses of low-performers.
