Mr. Freed led Nyack Hospital for 13 years before leaving in September 2014. Before that, he held executive positions with Overlook Hospital in Summit, N.J., Hahnemann University & Hospital in Philadelphia and Mount Sinai Medical Center in New York City.
Mr. Freed will succeed Donna Pauldine, who will retire Jan. 16.
