The Federal Trade Commission and the Antitrust Division of the U.S. Department of Justice have cleared Vanguard Health System’s $1.5 billion acquisition of Detroit Medical Center, granting early termination of a 30-day pre-merger waiting period, according to a Detroit News report.
Michigan Attorney General Mike Cox must still approve the deal, which the groups hope to complete by Nov. 1.
