Missouri hospital dismisses CEO

Terry Nichols no longer serves as CEO of Cedar County Memorial Hospital in El Dorado Springs, Mo., effective Oct. 23.

He was dismissed from the role, a hospital spokesperson confirmed to Becker’s on Oct. 27.

The board of trustees named Carla Gilbert interim CEO, according to an Oct. 23 hospital news release. Ms. Gilbert also serves as CFO and has been with Cedar County Memorial for 42 years, according to the hospital’s website.

Mr. Nichols had served as CEO since May 2022 and previously held the same role at Pineville (Ky.) Community Health Center and Iron County Medical Center in Pilot Knob, Mo., according to his LinkedIn profile.
