The records were available online through an unsecured computer server between Nov. 2 and March 14. The server was maintained by Portal Healthcare Solutions, which is also named in the suit.
The records contained transcribed physicians’ notes, which included medical diagnoses, clinical laboratory results, diagnostic imaging reports, emergency department records and medication administration. They did not include financial information, Social Security numbers or home addresses.
The hospital said that it could not determine if the information was viewed or downloaded, but it has notified the affected patients, according to the report.
