Orlando Health appoints new CTO over IT, clinical engineering

Orlando Health has named Omar Gonzalez as its next CTO of information technology and clinical engineering.

In this role, he will oversee clinical engineering, customer contact centers, digital technologies for patient and provider experience, and customer relationship management, according to a Sept. 16 news release shared with Becker’s.

Mr. Gonzalez previously served as vice president of Orlando Health’s Puerto Rico and Caribbean region. He will continue to support the Puerto Rico/Caribbean region, according to Orlando Health, through technology, program management and other advisory services.

Mr. Gonzalez joined the health system in 2008.
