Adena Health CEO to retire, successor named

Jeff Graham, president and CEO of Chillicothe, Ohio-based Adena Health, plans to retire Sept. 30.

COO Katherine Edrington, DNP, has been appointed to succeed him, effective Oct. 1, according to an Aug. 7 Adena Health news release shared with Becker’s.

Mr. Graham joined Adena in 1999 and became CEO in 2017. During his tenure, the health system has more than doubled in size, expanding services and locations. Under his leadership, the system grew its medical group to include more than 30 specialties, added Adena Fayette Medical Center and opened the Adena Orthopedic and Spine Institute.

He also led the creation of the Ohio High Value Network, which comprises more than two dozen rural hospitals and health systems throughout Ohio.

Ms. Edrington joined the system eight years ago. In her role as COO, she led the implementation of a new EHR system, which has streamlined care and improved access.

Adena Health includes four hospitals with a combined 341 beds.
