AdventHealth hospital CEO to step down

Parker Pridgen, CEO of AdventHealth Apopka (Fla.), plans to step down from his role in August, The Apopka Chief reported July 23.

“Under the leadership of Parker Pridgen, AdventHealth Apopka has continued to grow as a high-performing, trusted healthcare destination in one of Greater Orlando’s fastest-growing regions,” a health system spokesperson said in a statement shared with Becker’s on July 25. 

Mr. Pridgen has served as CEO since September 2022. He joined Altamonte Springs, Fla.-based AdventHeath in 2017 as vice president and CFO of Central Texas Medical Center in Killeen, according to his LinkedIn profile.

“It has been a distinct honor to serve in partnership with so many dedicated community leaders, officials and residents of West Orange County,” Mr. Pridgen said in a statement shared with community leaders on July 15, according to The Apopka Chief. “Together we have witnessed remarkable stories of healing, hope and progress that reflect the very best of our mission and values.”

Mr. Pridgen and his family will move closer to loved ones in California, according to the report.
