Tenet Arizona system taps market chief strategy officer

Kristopher Kitz has joined Tucson, Ariz.-based Carondelet Health Network as market chief strategy officer, according to a Facebook post.

Mr. Kitz told Becker’s he began the role June 9. His responsibilities include oversight of level 1 trauma center St. Joseph’s Hospital, St. Mary’s Hospital, Holy Cross Hospital and a network of emergency departments.

Before joining Carondelet, Mr. Kitz served as CEO of Wyatt Surgery Center, Eye Associates of Tucson, and Tucson Ambulatory Anesthesia — three separate entities connected through common ownership.

He also previously led strategy and business development for TMC Health, which includes Tucson Medical Center, Rincon Hospital, Benson Hospital, Northern Cochise Hospital and the TMCOne Medical Group.

Other previous roles include serving as vice president of retail health and strategic partnerships at Tacoma, Wash.-based MultiCare Health System, vice president of strategy and business development for PeaceHealth’s Oregon Network in Vancouver, Wash., and system director of strategic planning and business development at MultiCare.

Carondelet is part of Dallas-based Tenet Healthcare.
