Baptist Health taps VP of medical affairs for 2 hospitals

Glen Martin, MD, has been appointed vice president of medical affairs for Baptist Medical Center Beaches in Jacksonville Beach, Fla., and Baptist Medical Center Nassau in Fernandina Beach, Fla.

Dr. Martin is a board-certified anesthesiologist and has worked with Jacksonville-based Baptist Health since 2005 through his employment with U.S. Anesthesia Partners North Florida. During the COVID-19 pandemic, he also served as chief of staff for Baptist Medical Center Beaches. 

As VP of medical affairs for the two hospitals, he will report to Baptist Health’s system chief medical officer, according to an Aug. 12 news release sent to Becker’s

“Dr. Martin’s long-term commitment to Baptist Health, his ability to lead multidisciplinary teams to improve patient care, and most notably, his ability to forge meaningful relationships with provider colleagues, make him an excellent fit for this position,” Timothy Groover, MD, senior vice president and chief medical officer of Baptist Health, said in a news release.
