Providence Southern California names philanthropy exec

Greg Gissendanner will join Providence Southern California health system Sept 1. as its regional associate chief philanthropy officer.

He will oversee the organization’s fundraising campaigns and principal gifts, a news release shared with Becker’s Aug. 11 said.

Mr. Gissendanner most recently served as senior vice president and chief development officer for the Hoag Hospital Foundation in Newport Beach, Calif. He also led fundraising efforts at the University of California, Irvine and at Ames-based Iowa State University.
