Under the deal, Brookwood will employ the 28 physicians of the group and its 195 employees, and will expand to a new location in McCalla, Ala., according to the report.
The hospital also announced it acquired two family practices: a two-physician group in Birmingham and a single-physician practice in Homewood, Ala.
