Hospital officials said in a news release the expansion includes 11 private patient rooms, a new therapy gym area and “a dining refresh that will provide an upgraded culinary experience for patients.”

Jobs added through the expansion include registered nurses, pharmacists, rehabilitation technicians, maintenance workers and housekeeping, among various other roles.

“We are excited to begin serving even more patients in northern Kentucky through our 11-bed expansion,” Jeremy Yates, CEO of HealthSouth Northern Kentucky, said. “Our team is looking forward to helping more patients walk again, talk again, get back to work and return to their communities and the activities they love. It’s truly an honor to be able to do what we do every day to make a difference in their lives.”

HealthSouth Northern Kentucky Rehabilitation Hospital hosted a community groundbreaking ceremony for the expansion Aug. 23.
