Hastings, Pa.-based Conemaugh Miners Medical Center appointed Debbie Spells-Wilson, MSN, RN, to the dual role of COO and CNO.

1. Ms. Spells-Wilson previously served as CNO of Trinity Hospital of Augusta (Ga.).

2. She also served as a healthcare consultant with the U.S. Army. She played a key role in opening the International Medical Center in Egypt, a joint venture between the Egyptian and U.S. Armies.

3. She is a member of the American Nurses Association and South Carolina Nurses Association.
