David C. Pate, MD, JD. President and CEO of St. Luke’s Health System (Boise, Idaho). Dr. Pate, a physician and lawyer by training, joined St. Luke’s Health System in 2009. Previously, he held numerous positions at St. Luke’s Episcopal Health System in Houston, last serving as executive vice president and CEO of the system’s flagship hospital, St. Luke’s Episcopal Hospital. Before becoming a hospital administrator, Dr. Pate was a practicing general internist and served as an adjunct professor of law at the University of Houston Law Center in the Health Law & Policy Institute.
