Bobbie Byrne, MD. Senior Vice President of Information Systems and CIO of Advocate Health Care (Downers Grove, Ill.). Dr. Byrne served as vice president and CIO of Edward-Elmhurst (Ill.) Healthcare before becoming the senior vice president of information systems and CIO for Advocate Health Care in September 2017. In her current role, Dr. Byrne oversees the 12-hospital health system’s IT strategy and goals. A pediatric physician by training, Dr. Byrne is a fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics and is board certified in clinical informatics. She spent her early career as an attending physician at Children’s Memorial Medical Center, now Ann & Robert H. Lurie Children’s Hospital of Chicago, and Chicago-based Northwestern Memorial Hospital.
